edit: We moved most of the assembly to China, we do not have the capital to rent a large enough facility, or buy the equipment ourselves, but it will be done using the latest and greatest soldering and powder-coating tech that the factory has to offer. We will be using the same case as the Bridgelux value fixtures for the SuperNova, with some modifications. The LED layout is finalized, we decided on Cree XP-Gs, instead of XT-Es, to gain 5-8% in efficiency (yes, they cost more, but well worth it) when the new XP-G2 is more available, those will be used. The reds will be 660nm Osrams, which are far more effective than cree 620-630nm red-oranges, the fixture will include 8 violets, 4 410nm, and 4 420nm, 2 500nm cyans, and 2 520nm greens to go along with the 16 XT-E royal blues, and 16 XP-G cool whites, for 48 LEDs in total. The heatsinks will still be from heatsinks USA, and far larger than most heatsinks used on manufactured heatsinks, the heatsinks will be added in our shop in the USA. The drivers will take PWM, 0-10v analog, or resistance dimming, so all 3 are avialable, along with the option to add a Dim4 controller, or possibly the same controller used in our new 104watt fixtures. We apologize for leaving you guys in the dark for a while, and can assure you that the prototype will be here in about a month, likely less.

We posted this ealier this morning on another forum:
We are finishing up the pcb board design right now. Right now it will be 44 LEDs total, 16 XP-G cool white, 16 XT-E Royal Blues, 2 XP-E reds, 2 XP-E greens, 8 bridgelux 420nm violet. The high noon circuit was removed due to it not being needed. Users can simply use the controller to raise the whites in the middle of the day if wanted. So what do you guys think? Would you like us to add anything? As the retailer and wholesaler, we would like you, the customer to offer your opinion before the final design is submitted.

Hey guys, we have great news! We found a US supplier and factory for most of the components! The circuit board will be made in a plant in MahWah, NJ, and the heatsinks, fans, acrylic, LEDs, and wires will also be made in the USA, and assembled right in our facility in CT. The circuit boards will take about 2 weeks to build, the only thing left is finding the factory to mount the LEDs. Once we have that, they will be ready to roll off of the production line, hopefully before the anticipated release date in September.
    Thanks,
    Logan

Double the green and make sure the red, green, blue and white are all dimmable separately.

Right now we have 3 channels, 1:16 royal blue, 2:16 cool white, 3: 8 420nm, 2 red, 2 green. We can make 1 more channel for just the greens/reds if needed, however that adds expense to the fixture (need to find a driver for just 4 LEDs) We will look into it, and thanks for the suggestion!

Scott, consider it done. We worked out the total, and it will work. A price drop may be in order considering the bulk price of the boards. As of now the determining cost is the charge we get for reflow soldering the LEDs onto the board.

I would suggest putting a scale on the dimmer knobs.

We really have no way of accurately doing so. We may be able to get the cost down enough to make the one with the controller $599, and the one with knobs or apex dimming for $499.
