Matt will there be a search function? To search old threads that might have a similar question ?

 

Of course. FYI - Currently there is the Google Search bar in the top right nav as well as 'Use Old Search' link in right nav that uses built-in search. Personally I've found better results with the Google search and it does not ding the server or restrict your number of searches which is nice.


UPDATE -

Very productive morning today here on the west coast.
I have all the various add-on modules that are needed prior to importing.
I also have ones that I will be rolling out on a schedule after launch.
After lunch I begin building the new forum and installing add-ons.
Once done, I will turn out the lights here to begin importing.
Importing will take 8 hours in itself.
Then I will be gluing it all together for about a day or 2.
Then it's lights on and party time.

UPDATE -

After a productive morning I got my butt kicked this afternoon. First was a mild stomach virus - I'm sure nerves had something to do with that - then my skimmer went nuts. I took it apart and of course the air intake was clogged. I soaked it in vinegar and tore into the pump while I was at it. Then I turned it on to pump rattle. Joy. I took it apart 3 more times before I remembered the little trick with the pump cover.

Not to be defeated, I rallied tonight after the kid went to bed. I got the new database up, configured another instance of the beta board and then squashed a mobile phone bug that I have been losing sleep over. That was a serious geek rally.

I look forward to carrying it over in the AM.

So lights on for a while longer. Enjoy.
