Looking good, eventually you will make a mod that creates a controled blackhole to create water movement! When you do, send me one please :)

Moncale you can check local hobby stores. The props are RC boat props.

I am working on a Tunze style wavebox based on a prop mod. Which in a way is kinda like a black hole as it create a void that the water collapses back on.

There is a reason I picked a mad scientist as my avatar!

    Muah ha ha !

OK, i have read every post, link and thread on this mod. A few questions that are not answered is how do you keep the bushing that the rod fits into on the centering cap.
So you have to glue it on?
How long should you cut the rod to begin with?

any and all information would be great!

Yes a dab of super glue.

How long should you cut the rod to begin with?
I varys because all vendors coupling and pipe are not the same size. So put the mod to together then trim the shaft to fit.

Thanks Covey, I am going to try this tonight. I am going to use the Carbon Fiber rod or should I find some S.S. rod?

I went with the MJ1200 with an Octura 2035prop. Will this work good or other suggestion.

The carbon fiber is fine but some people found it noisy compared to the SS.

I never used that prop but is it is on the suggested list from the MJ mods it should be fine.

    Hey Covey,
When are ya going to show the break down on the gutter guard mod? I can see the zip ties but what are you using as a ring on the end to support the center brace and shaft?
    Best, Scott:)

Oh my do not try to do this mod without a myter or table saw! I tried cutting the pvc with my dremel and i can tell you my wife will not allow me to hang this in my tank. Well looks like i will be busting out the Myter saw tonight.

Covey, i used the CF rod and put everything together and wanted to test before adding the glue to the support/brake bar. So i plugged it in and moved the rod to center and the prop spun back and forth. Now is this cause there is no resistance like in the water. Should i not try to run these dry? I hope when i glue all this together it will run correctly tonight. I will try to post pic of the monster later.
