I love that thing. Is it any louder than a normal maxi jet?

If its made right its no louder than the stock maxi. Most noise is if you have the shaft off center. Mine not

The shaft, I tried HD and Lowe's with no luck. Ended up going to a small local hardware store that had everything.

I almost forgot I made a couple more of these too. One for me and one for a guy in my club.

Just made a few from MJmods.com . The guy that did the OG one, is semi local to me. We've had these guys running around our area for over a year now, and I just finally did some last week

    covey,
1st doing this mod to a MJ1200 that is only 295gph what is the new gph of the modded PH?

2nd Is this mod even worth doing it to a MJ900?

3rd how can you mount these correctly to flow across and not down?

    1) My MJ1200 with the Dumas 1.75" are more in the nieghborhood of 3000GPH. The MJmods.com guys use a smaller prop and IMO their precut housing is too closed off. Killing GPH.

    2) The MJ900 is a great pump to mod because it is lower wattage and most of the modders have found that it can push almost as large of prop as the 1200.

    3) I have one exopied to a old algae magnet that is mounted high in the tank and the other one is mounted low in the tank with the standard mount and suction cups. The suction cup are not to be trusted so I have a LR leaning on it.

Which one did you mod Gresham and how did you like it?
