A recent trend with LED lights was on display at MACNA: Wi-Fi control. A great little example was The Prime by Aqua Illumination. This 45w nano LED lamp would be perfect for those of us with nano cubes possibly up to 18" based on the intensity I saw coming from this 4.88" x 4.88" x 1.34" lamp. The white/blue color was nice to the eye as well. Inside there are 13 LEDs with colors of white, green, violet, red, deep blue and very deep blue. The fixture had a polished modern look that is vented with a small fan at top and I liked the overbuilt aluiminum arm for an extra $50. The light itself will only be $199. For a quality fixture at a great price, with Wi-Fi control that allows you to control it via your phone or computer - The Prime should be a hit for AI.

    Is that soon? :)
I am kicking myself for not asking to see the app for these lights. I'll try to get a pic of that as well.

The AI Prime is going to be available relatively soon, as far as new product launches go. Often you hear about an exciting product and it's another year before it's available to end-users. AI is hoping to have these out to retailers before Black Friday!

Nice, although I'd rather get an NBR fixture for around the same price.

Matt, thanks for posting info on this. Those are cool little lights.

You mention that the Prime has a nice blue/white color. Do you remember if the light emitting from the Prime was different than the Hydra 52 which has a pink/violet bias?

Didn't these guys merge with Radion within the last year?

If so, that bigger R&D department is paying off.

    Good reminder WT. (EcoTech Marine)

    You are welcome DeeBee.
I don't recall the Hydras color spectrum as well but I can say that the Prime's was not pink/violet to me. Full disclosure though - I am a bit color blind. lol So take this with a grain of salt. Maybe someone else from the show - evolved, cam or ingtar can step in here...

They should make a fuge version of this light...

I could see someone having a DT light and a fuge light like this and be able to program them both thru the app.
