    I have decided it was more intuitive to call this feature 'My Lists' - the tab has been updated. FYI.

    Subscriptions notify you when there is an update to a thread.

    Lists are for reference.

    Rather than just have a 'favorites' list or a bunch of bookmarks, this feature allows you to make lists with whatever subject you wish. You then can refer to these down the road. Or now share them on your profile page so others can see them. Someone may learn a lot from one of your lists. That is my hope with public lists.
