I have a full container of fresh water Tetra flakes. I gave my guys some and they actually go crazy over it... but is there any reason I should avoid it?

Good question. I have some too(same brand) from my old FW tank & would like to use it up.

Would this be alright to feed, if given along with normal SW food we give?

I don't think there would be any problem with a well balanced diet.

Yes, I have all kinds of other stuff but I would like to give them some flakes once and again.
    Could it have high phosphates?

I don't see a problem using it up but don't buy more after.
