maybe if eshopps goes with something like this i would get to test it out and submit a review and pics/ video to them for feedback. god nows i need a system like that
My dream sump would be 20 gallons and fit under the RSM250 stand (16x16x20), and would be configurable as a fuge, dsb or true sump.
yea i know what you mean thats why i thought my idea wold solve everyones problems when it comes to sump/refuigium/filter set up problems. add or subtract what you want
i realy like that idea i was planing on doing that in my next tank
ooo i got one you can make sumps that are made for corner tank everyone who has one of those has a realy hard time making a sump
or the can make a sump/wetdry system it will flow throught the wetdry then it will go into the sump best of both worlds
or a sump that has several dividers that you can slide in and out so you can seperate your macros and ect
just thinking aloud
Generally a good idea, but 20 inches is too long for the bottom of the RSM stand..... the stupid designers thought it would be good to put a center brace in the stand, so it's 16 deep x 16 wide x ~26 tall... nobody makes stuff designed around "tall cube" size constraints except for custom work, which I haven't had anyone price under ~$350...
There you have it.......Simple, Multi-Purpose, Affordable. You'd have my business for life!
20in was just a suggestion im sure they could make them differn sizes small med lrg ect.
i dont see how a modules would help you at all. you're saying your stands too small to work in now, how are you going to be pulling and placing different modules into it? you dont have the forseeable height in the stand.
id re-plan that stand to allow for future modifications, not put it on the already expensive pre-made sump/fuge to counter the thousand potential design flaws in a tank stand.
i get what you're saying though. it'd be nice to be able to change out the baffling/sections when you decide to change around your sump. i only see this "modular option" increasing the cost of the product to the end-user. you're going to have more acrylic in use. acrylic's not cheap. unless i have mis-visualized what this would look like in my head...
