    I never once knocked the T5's, I knocked Nano giving in to his GF's preference :p

    yes it does, but that is the main reason I went with the 24 inch fixture instead of the 18 inch ones, the bulb covers the entire length of the tank which is very nice IMO.

    Yes heat is a concern with me,small house heats up fast.I have a heater,but for a month i have it unplugged.With a skimmer pump,return pump,and calcium reactor running,81F.And i use a vortech for flow,so no heat from that.Tek is sure not the best,but better than most cheap knockoffs.There's ati and Sfiligoi with active cooling,and a hefty price tag,but they are seeeexy.and the kings of T5

    LOL, I really love my girlfriend("awwwww", ya ya I know :p) she actually helps me spend my money at the LFS ;D, I help return the favor at Hollister :)

    Sure cant argue that point BUT for an 18 gallon is it really worth the extra money on the really high end fixtures unless you have the money to spend and are trying to make a sweet all around display.
