Thanks. I stained it this week and don't really care for the way it turned out. Tried a new product i'm not familiar with. Gonna sand it off and try again tomorrow. I'll also finish grouting the tile top and construct the door to the cabinet ( that will hide my sump/fuge).

    Stained and grouted

Finished the last coat of stain and poly tonight. Used a different product and Not totally the finish I was going for but it does have a really cool antique look to it. The tile is grouted and ready to go. I need to finish the door for the front. I'm thinking about suspending a small flourescent light from the top 2x4 to light to light the area with what will be my QT below it. Plans are to upgrade to a sump/fuge. But for now It'll make a good spot to quarantine my new additions.

Do my eyes deceive me? is that a Mustang behind yon tank stand? perhaps a California soft top?

I have to say that tile top is making me rather jelly. The stand looks really nice. Perhaps when Me and the Fiance move out of our current cramped dwelling I myself will take on such a beautiful project.

Thanks. I've seen a few many pieces of furniture ruined by dropping stuff on them, figured a tile top would clean up easier too. I can also remove the top to make it easier to move.

Thank you sir!, the Top is big enough to fit a much larger tank when I upgrade. I'm thinking a 60 cube with a 40 breeder for a sump?
