lol concidering I did my stand for a 75 gallon this type of stand is really popular :) . I would definatly stain the stand, Mine is stained black and I used the seal and stain all in one by minwax and it is the best thing since sliced bread quick, easy, and efficent. and your stand looks great much more fancy than mine.

Yeah, I've seen this stand design a lot. Stain and Seal in one sounds awesome. I'll have to look into that.

I'm definitely going to stain it, I just have no idea what color to do.

And thanks :), I'm happy with how it has turned out. I just need to spend some time on it with the planer. I'm afraid the top isn't PERFECTLY even.

I'm not super concerned with the top not looking even, I just don't want to be looking at a cracked tank when I fill it up. Lol. That would be really, really lame.... and I've heard some horror stories about it.

PIC UPDATE! Sanded and sealed. :)

Today makes my second week at my new job. I finally had some time when I came home to seal my tank stand...

I had sealed it once with polyurethane, and then sanded it once more today with 220 grit, and put on another thick coat. Tomorrow morning it should be dry.... so I'll be able to screw on the side panels (not pictured) and doors, and bring her inside!

I'm praying I didn't splash any poly on the bike . It sure did get full of sanding dust though. lol.

Thanks man! I need to get it out on the street. Weather is getting good for riding.

I'm not staining it, just sealing it. I think I may sand it again and leave it sanded, I'm not sure I like the super high gloss. I guess I'll decide once it's dry and all assembled.

True... it will be super waterproof. The gloss is growing on me.
