Thanks. I will definately keep it as an option, but there are a variety of things that people have come up with that are not as drastic as that. So I will give those a try first.

I still think I will try to stay away from chemicals as much as possible. I will work on better cleaning, less feeding and a MUCH better CUC. Then if there is no improvement, I will look into chemical methods.

I am completely agreeing with this. I will definately be lowering my light cycle, cleaning my skimmer every day and feeding much less. As well as getting a better vaccum for the tank and beefing up my clean up crew. I think thats a good start.

API Marine algaefix helped me knock down some algae then it was easier to get rid completely with water changes and GFO.

..I did'nt see any parameter readings in this thread...or did I miss them? What are the params of this tank...what testing method / kit are you using..getting rid of it is secondary to finding the cause..imo... But it does sound like you got some sage advice..I hate BA! : / Good luck.

I didn't actually post any of my parameters.

This is what they are currently:
Ammonia: 0.2 - API - It always shows 0.2, the test has either shown higher when there was ammonia, but 0.2 is the norm. I assume this actually means 0.

    Nitrite: 0 - API

    Nitrate: 0 - API

    pH: 8.2 - API

Phos: 0.2 - API - Its a pretty ambiguous test.

    Calc: 440 - Red Sea

    Mg: 1250 - Red Sea

    Alk: 8.5 - Red Sea

Ok team, here is my current plan of attack:

    - Buy a bigger vacuum to actually be able to suck the stuff up.
    - Beef up my clean up crew, will be adding 5-6 hermits (as they eat cyano), and some other assorted snails such as turbos and nassarius. Will also be looking for an emerald crab.
    - Clean out my protein skimmer daily.
    - Alternate light cycle on my sump/fuge.
    - Buy a UV sterilizer.
    - Stop scrubbing the rocks :p.
    - Buy some Microbe Lift Special

I will do all these things, before moving onto chemical methods, such as Chemiclean, API Marine Algaefix or hydrogen peroxide.

    In another question;
    - Would it be wise to add NPX biopellet reactor to the system? Considering I already have a GFO phosban reactor?
    - Would it be wise to get another reactor for Carbon? I currently have it just sitting in a bag near my return.

    - 10% weekly water changes :) - Thanks Dingo

I already do 10% a week, should I bump that up?

No no bud, Dingo was just saying not to forget to add that item to your list. 10% is just fine.
