Yeah I went with the 36 kit, it's going to be in a canopy, which I havent built yet but I'm thinking 8 to 10 inches high.

Hmm.....maybe I should wait to place my order until I read your build thread ;D

Thanks, there will be a detailed build thread for sure.

Lights shipped on sat so hopefully not too long before I have them up and running. I did just go with the standard dimmable kit though, hoping I don't regret mixing in some other colours.

Definitely nothing wrong with the standard 50/50 of Royal Blue and Cool White. Alot of people run that with great results. I'm on the fence about swapping a few royal blues out for regular blues. But I am definitely going to run some neutral whites in with the cool whites. I like a little bit warmer look.

I have the 36 dimmable kit, and I went with 60 degree optics but mines also mounted about 14 inches above the tank. but the light dispersion is incredible with minimal wasted light

Are you swapping out the color just for the personal preference or for coral growth? When I eventually go this route, i would like to go more the blue route to remind me of the days of when I was the Cutter Dallas and saw how crystal blue the ocean was and how beautiful the fish were

Yo insanespain, congratz! Im kinda on the same boat, let me jug your memory.
    I have:
    Cool White x 12
    Royal Blue x 12
Addition to those above, planning to get:
    Blue x 6
    Cool White x 4
    Neutral White x 8
    UV x 6

Ecotech released the LED fixture and I was very amazed by the mixture of LEDs they used.

IF I could EVER afford a LED fixture, it would be from Ecotech.

Yeah I looked at that fixture when it came out and really liked the combo of colors. It makes me debate on a few greens mixed in. Rapid carries the osram reds too but I've heard they r impossible to get mixed
