I have to admit I was kinda surprised by the lack of info when purchasing a kit. And secondly, Lights are looking great, as for the algea and what not, I didn't even notice, I was too focused on the lights. Looks awesome.

Thanks coylee. Cant wait to see yours when you get it done. I've got some gloss black acrylic coming so that I can build a finished housing for my light. I've got 3 projects going for my tank right now, and its getting overwhelming lol.

Nah, at 14'' things look great! but if you remember from my build (which ive been neglecting to post update pics) i built a unique mounting system so im able to pivot and turn light heads to get an even mix.

Whatever you decide on your height just make sure its easily raised or lowered to suit your final needs, some yo-yo hangers and a little slack in the cord should do the trick;D

My black acrylic and hanging kit came today, so I got busy this evening and tried to get this thing closer to being done. I didn't really have a plan so I was kinda winging it as I was going, but I really like how it turned out. It's still not 100% finished yet but its getting there.

Lol, I left the protective film on the front piece so that it wont get scratched up while I'm still working on the light. I also have side pieces cut for it too, just havent mounted them yet.
