I was wondering if 324 watts of t5 over a 75gallon would have enuf oomph to allow me to keep a clam? Maybe a few hard corals toward the top?
    Thanks!

I asked that same question about the clam at my LFS last week, becaus eI really want one =)
They said that if you have a large enough T5 and your tnak is not very deep or if you had the clam sitting on a shelf not to far from the top of the tank it would be ok but you risk the clam lossing its bright nice color. I decided it seemed to risky and am waiting to get mine.

As I have stated before, I know nothing about T-5's, whether or not there enough for High light demending corals. However, I've always understood they need MH lighting.

I currently have 4 clams in a 90 gal under T5 lights, Crocea, Squamosa, Derasa and a Teardrop Maxima. The Squaggie and Crocea Ive had for around 5 months are growing and seem to do fine. The squaggie is pushing 8-9 inches in legth now. I have broken several rules just to see how the clams would do. The crocea is high in the tank. Squaggie mid tank. Maxima and Derasa on the substrate. Normally you might see the maxima and crocea high in the tank on the rocks while the squamosa and derasa on the substrate. Mantle extension seems normal and I do no spot feeding and very little dosing of any plankton. Colors are still great and all is well.

I have a 48" 8 lamp tek light. When I run 4 bulbs the tank looks best. Even the SPS still does OK. When I run 6 bulbs I get less mantle extension on the clams (good) and the best growth from the SPS and some of the LPS doesnt like that much light and tend to go downhill. When I run 8 bulbs the SPS starts bleaching and the only thing in the tank that seems to take it well is the clams and carpet. My tank is 24" deep.

Geek is getting ready to cut loose on some acros for me in the next couple months and we are gonna go predominantly SPS and see what happens under those lights.

I have a crocea under t 5's and its doing great. ive had it for like 8 months and its grown alot, and still has its bright blue and green colors. Ive got the 6 bulb over a 100g, and its enought to keep sps in there full colors. I would say go for it, t5's can do the job, they are bright.

Not long ago Geek posted something about how T5's where good enough for all types of corals, some guy from Europe has a huge coral farm going with T5s...I can't find the post, you should ask him.

324 watts?!? that sounds like you have a 6 bulb Nova Extreme Pro! I feel that 324 watts of T5 lighting is ample for a tank like yours.
