I really wish the people that bought odyssea fixtures spoke up more on here. I really wish I could have tried one but heard alot of mixed reviews and not really from anyone with first hand experience.

This looks like a great light and from the reviews it looks like people like it.

I wish I had the extra funds to give it a shot.

I have an odyssea fixture. No one speaks up because they get flamed and get embarrassed to have a so called crappy fixture. A lot of people only get the best of the best for their reefs. Then there are people like myself that really stretch everything to get a piece of the ocean and really can't afford or justify the spending so we have to settle. I paid 80 bucks for my fixture from a local odysea wholesaler. It is an ok fixture. I wish I wouldve seen the pro fixture sooner because I would've got that instead. The regular 4x54 is a decent fixture but the pro version is way better. I swapped the bulbs out the day I bought the fixture too. I haven't had one single issue yet nor any complaints other than the endcaps are extremely cheap. They corrected all of that with the pro fixture though. I am now looking to make a retro because I built a canopy and want to add more bulbs.

I have the 4x54 odyssea pro. It works great. The stock bulbs are crappy. Just get new bulbs and it works fine. Cant beat it for the price. :)

The stock bulbs that came with mine are the TRU brand bulbs. Hellolights actually sell these with their retros. They aren't too bad color wise but I'm sure the PAR is pretty low. For the price of the odyssea, I can't complain. Everyone is always going to bash them hardcore thats why people don't tell other people they have odyssea fixtures. I know a local reefer that claims his fixture is the best halide fixture around and hypes it up but won't tell anyone what kind it is.....sure enough it was an odyssea when I went to buy some corals. People are embarrassed to admit to owning because people talk extremely bad about their products.
