Guitarman, you have hit the sweet spot with that combo. I am running UVL 10K's and super actinics now, and my tank looks exactly like yours in the "old bulbs" pic.

My bulbs are brand new so I hate to replace them all, but dang. That looks really good.

    Nice thread!

Here is my combo (Tek 54w)

    ATI Blue+
    ATI 03 True Actinic
    Giesemann 6000K Midday Sun
    ATI Blue+

Here is a picture when the bulbs where still good. Im going to order new bulbs and will be changing the true actinic for UVL super actinics. Will also change the Midday to a GE 6500k. (White balance is off)

**Edit** Alright I think this is fairly accurate. What a big difference white balance does. Also, Im pretty sure my midday's spectrum is not quite the same when new.

This is the way mine looks now, I really like the color spectrum I get from it, and apparently the critters do also :)

    It is a (4) T-5 bulb fixture for a total of 216W. started with (2) blue 460nm, and (2) white 10,000K. Now I am using (2) 03 true actinics 420 (1) blue 460nm and (1) white 10,000K

when I get ready for the replacement of the 10,000K I might just get 12,000K just hope that they don't bleach the corals, 216W for my 55g seems kind of bright :\
