Do Tek fixtures have individual reflectors or individually contoured reflectors?

Quote..suckafishtankcleaning hey papa [that was kinda weird] what is the brand of your light fixture?

    It's a tek,there's better out there,but i wouldn't use anything less than a tek....and all Tek's have individual reflectors.

I just ordered some new bulbs for the tank. I got 2x54 watt Aqua Science 15,000K bulbs and 2x54 watt 22,000K bulbs. As soon as they get here, I will post some pictures.

Just got the new bulbs in and installed. Let me say, I have found the exact color spectrum I wanted. I am running two Aqua Science Specials (15,000K) and two Blues (22,000K). It is a very blue color, but my corals have never looked better. I thought they popped when I has the UVL super actinics and the two UVL white actinics. My yellow eyed zoas are screaming vivid lime green and yellow. My plain old orange skirted zoas are flaming orange now, armor of god zoas are hot pink and my superman and monti cap are unbelievably better looking. These bulbs are what I have been looking for. Here are some pics

i have a 4x54W t5 high output fixture, will those bulbs be compatible to my fixture? or is there something i have to do to make them compatible? and how much are the bulbs each?

You don't need anything extra to use these bulbs. They are a little bit pricier than most other bulbs, some are $30 each. This site carries them...

That's where I ordered them. The blue ones are no more expensive, but the Specials (15,000K) are about $30 each. I really like them and highly recommend them. They use a 5 band phosporous verses a 3 band that most others use. Supposedly this prevents the spectrum from shifting as they age.
