    I don't really see anything wrong there. Is it possible the anemone touched this coral?

    there is a slim chance that could have happened, the first day I had the coral only about 5" away from the anemone, would that kill it or would that be just temporary ?

    On mine, the top is definately turning a lighter shade than when I got it. The bottom is still nice and red. It is showing growth and starting to attach but the top is a different color than the bottom, which is why I was leaning towards some sort of bleaching.

    It depends on how much it touches it. It usually just "burns" the part that it touches. I've seem some with some nasty burns though. I don't think it would kill the whole thing.
