I bought a frag of this back in august, and it grew about 4 to 8 times it's size since then. I already gave someone else a frag of it. I know very little about it and I'm new to reef keeping. I thought it was some sort of blue green star polyps. Is this an unusual coral? I'm just curious why everyone is interested in and watching this thread.

Vinny, are those pics you posted under actinics only? Mine dont look like that until I tunr off my 10k's. They're brown under white lights. I might try to frag some and place them in our zero edge tank, I bet they look good from above.

That pic is under t5 10k and 420 actinics. Let me see if I can get a good shot under actinic only. :)
They look great from above and beyond.
P.S. Corailine if you notice I don't use frag plugs just baby rocks.:)

I think I need some T5 lights. I'm using PC's and while the pics you posted of the actinics, look the same as mine, the first pic you posted with both the 10k and the actinics, looks totally different. Nice pictures BTW.

ummm cough.. cough I will have to wait until my rocks start reproducing.;D

Much better to use rubble for frags but for encrusting sps I just to not have the heart to rip them from their bases plug.
