I am not a huge fan of Reef Snow, seems to me you can get the same results stirring up the detritus in the tank, which is actually what I did when I had a soft coral tank.

Phytoplankton: will feed other common tank inhabitants, not every corals eats plant based plankton.

Zooplankton: Unless you can grow your own, a type that is extremely tiny if not almost microscopic than I would not bother.

If you're intent on feeding hermatypic corals then I would

    1.Use stirred up detritus method.
    2.Research feedings for NPS corals.
    3. Make a slurry of different fine particle food types (combination of quality flake, crushed pellets, frozen meaty foods).

Perhaps if your more specific to the corals type you are looking to feed ie: Kenya tree, mushrooms. Soft corals is too general of a term.

Well so i guess cyclopeeze flakes mixed with some pellets would be best. im a bit lazy when it comes to feeding corals and i forget feeding them too lol, thats why im intrested in photosynthetic corals. any suggestions on what are the best softies that can rely only on light? ill be feeding once or twice a month.

I am just curius: Your 24x15x15 size tank is just about 25 Gallon. Why a sump and these big high flrow powerheads and wavemakers? Am I missing something?

sump is for refugium where my LR and cheato will be placed and flow is 60 times coz might add a couple of SPS in future. softies will be placed at the bottom. the sandbed will just be around an inch max and will be stirred every 10-15 days. In the DT, there will be dead rocks and dead sand mixed with my old sand. will soon be starting the thread mostly from next sunday. should i decrease the flow?

If you choose to use an Iodine supplement I suggest Lugols Iodine, beware of dosing too much and test for Iodine as needed to make sure that the levels are appropriate.
