Read in a thread that you can sometimes get a burn at the base of an SPS when gluing it with superglue. I glued this guy down about 2 weeks ago. I don't remember for sure if I had good tissue at the base when I glued it down, but recognized it right away after returning from a 4-day trip (about 6 days after putting it in the tank).

Do you think this is a burn or RTN? If a burn, will it heal?

    Thanks.

Could be because of superglue or possibly some of your body oil. Low flow in the area or even not enough light could also be a cause.

I would think if it were RTN, after 6 days you'd be looking at only skeleton. I'd agree that it is probably due to handling/mounting.

    Thanks for the feed back.

Hoping that it will heal up and I won't lose it.

Looks like low flow to me...
