    The only thing i don't like about them is part of the base sits in the water.

    it is a great looking fixture and would do well on small cubes.

    Can you prop up the base with a block of wood so that you are artificially raising the lip of the tank to keep the base out of the water?

    solana 34 is 20x20x20, since this is 20x20 coverge, do you think this will be perfect led for sps / clam on solana 34?

    Which would make the water level uneven. Leaving an unpleasant look to the tank. As well as, if the tank is drilled the overflow may not function properly. Would probably need to have the base a little higher than suggested to keep it out of the water.

    EDIT: I just reread your post. Do you mean attaching the base to the wood or tilting the tank?

    ^ Clarkkey. wants to attach the back to a piece of wood and attach that to the tank lip/trim.
