    Thanks PierceEye, that's a great idea. I think I can Just add a piece of eggcrate angled like that over the piece there now and ziptie the pieces together some how and silicone the sides to the glass...

    Good idea but you may not like your overflow into this because depending on your flow you may get bubbles going up to the surface causing water to pop out of your sump. look into my thread and you can see how i got around this problem

    Thanks, I'll do that for my fuge and see how my bubble trap works but if not, That's an easy fix now thanks to you.

    Hey Mike, Well finally got time tonight to work on the project. What do you think? I cut one section of 1/2" PVC right down the middle so that it would lock into my glass divider. The top 1/2" PVC is notched so it would lock into the plastic lip at the top of the tank. Drilled top & bottom sections so I could use zip ties to fasten the egg crate. End results, it's removable for service or future modifications. Thanks for the original idea! ;) I have all of the pics on my 90gal thread.
