The one I got came with a garden hose adapter. You can buy an adapter to hook the garden hose fitting to the sink at any hardware store. When waterbeds were the big thing, when I was a kid, we had 15 of the adapters around the house... Ah the good old days

my spectrapure came with the hose adapter also.
i bought a Y fitting with valves on each output and connected that to the water line going to my washing machine. mounted the unit right behind my the sink in the laundry room and ran the waste line into the tub. easy on easy off.
i also put my jug into the tub when im filling it so if it overflows no big deal. i forget to turn it off every once in a while lol

There's lot's of ways to install a RODI filter. I think that people with big tanks tend have it in a fish room or garage with the water stored in large trash cans. Brute trash cans are good for this as they are food grade. At home I have 2 nano tanks so my water needs aren't so great. I have my RO under my kitchen sink, and my DI and a 13g rectangular garbage can for storage in a dedicated kitchen cabinet. There is a float switch in the garbage can for safety but I use a ball valve to turn the filter on when I want to make water. Under the sink I installed 2 tees for hooking up the RODI filter, one on the cold water line and one on the drain. Both use compression fittings. I've found plumbing supply stores rather than HD to be the best place to get these plumbing parts. There's always someone knowledgeable to help. Just tell them what you want to do and they'll pull out the right parts.

I truly appreciate the help on this one, since I really have never seen a system set-up before and I will be buying mine online. I am only looking to set up a 30 gallon for the time being, so I will probably just use food grade 5 gallon buckets to store the water.

Buckets with lids, like old salt buckets are a good choice for storing water in. You can probably find a LFS or a fellow reefer with some empty buckets they can spare.
I use a covered Rubbermaid 23 gallon recycling can for my autotopoff reservoir and I have five 5 gal drinking water jugs to store my water change water in.
