Actually, I have it elavated, so there will be no back pressure. I have a 90 degree down fixture, a six inch stretch, and then another 90 degree fixture at the bottom of the sump. I wanted control of my water level in the twelve inches I have in tank heighth. I am used to 18. I am going to start working on the fuge part of the sump this weekend.

The really amusing part was the look in my eyes when I hit the power switch on one of the power strips and ZZZZZZZAP. I dropped the F bomb with a housefull of kids. Oops. :-X;D

Yeah, but the screwups are the best part of the story. What's a success story without a flood and electrocution?

looks good but aren't you afraid of those flower pots decaying? I have seen saltwater eat up that type of plastic big time.......or is that momentary? Just wondering!

I bet it was very similar to the look on my face the day we dumped 10 or so gallons of saltwater onto the floor in about 5 seconds. Ah behold the power of the Mag 18...

Hey, you could use some egg crate and zip tie it together. Works wonders and holds up to saltwater really well...

Well for what its worth in that 20 L I'd have my water level at about 1" below that green plate the skimmer is on or just about a 1" from the top of the inverted flower pots . I'd never run a sump as deep as you had the 20 H set up like .. A sump is for mixing the waters for the skimmer not a reservoir to add 5 ot 10 more gals to the system ,, I'd rather have well skimmed and aerated and high Redox levels with 60 gals then a 70gal with lower oxygen and poor skimming and low or a falling redox .
