Strontium, Molybdenum and Iodide - do you dose any of them?

    Also, by the way, if you look at the evidence for the necessity of trace elements. Organisms that seem to require them the most, seems to be ones we don't want, such as algae. Think about that...

    Molybdenum in certain
    isotope forms is radioactive some naturally occur. I really hope you have a very reliable source if you dose it. As stated before it is probably such a small amount that a water change will probably replace more than enough from a quality mixed salt.

    Matt, do you remember a few months back when I sent you the results from having my water professionally tested?
    You should see if you can dig up that email. My levels of strontium and molybdenum are in there. Most salt mixes are high to begin with in both!

    I do honestly think that too much of them is a negative thing. And I strongly believe that molybdenum influences unwanted bacterial growth. It also produces blooms of cyano and slime algae.
