I have a radish color stringy algae at lest that's what I think it is. What should I do?
I have it on my power heads and here and there on my rocks and coral.

Don't ask me all the levels of the chemicals in the water. That's the husbands job and see that I haven't seen him in a week ,do to him working so much.(just thankful he has a job)::)

we have a 60g tank, refuge pump with live sand and mac something algae. We have a great cleaning crew, lots of hermit crabs,2 emerald crabs,10 snails,4super turbo snails and we did get 4 snails that eat the red slim stuff and bury themselves in the sand too.;D

Our lights come on at 8am-10am(the Blue ones) and the daylight ones come on at 10am-9pm and then the blue ones come on from 9pm-10pm then its lights out and the little moon light come on until it starts all over again.

I hope this info helps, well what little I know.

    Sounds like cyanobacteria...........
Flow, low nitrates, and low phosphates will help get rid of it.
