So ever since I came back from vacation I noticed some of these strands around the tank. I just didn't know what they are. Any help would be appreciated :)

It was great! I did as much as I could do for being under 21 haha. I visited Hoover Dam, went to Mandalay Bay and Caesar's Palace, which were both breath-taking, went to the aquarium, which to be honest was a little disappointing considering there were no actual reefs, but it was still nice, and slowly disintegrated in the 110 degree weather lol. It was a great time, and I know where I'm going for my 21st ;)

The thing is, it looks like it would be Dinoflagellates or Calothrix, but there aren't any air bubbles on the tips of the strands and they almost seem to have a bit of structure near the base rather than say green hair algae which just flows with the current.

Send reefcleaners your pic and ask them for help on an ID. John is great about helping out.

Alright so I guess I'll try peeling some of it off and see how it goes.
