I am probably being paraniod asking again, but I want to be sure I am not going overboard here (or missing a better option) before I order but in my 28 gallon bowfront tank, would 2 of the 550 Koralia Evolution's be too much flow in my tank?

    My rock showed up today!

I briefly did some scaping. Mainly just putting it where they seemed to fit best (dont want something that's all tippy!)

What do you think (all dif angles of same scape)?

Any tips on what to change? Also, if I'm planning for a specific structure, any tips on keeping it stable?

Ya, I've been debating the egg crate thing. I was mostly worried of it restricting the little sand critters from moving aroudn too much, haha.

This morning I started (and tonight I will work on it more) trying to open up the bottom middle of it. We'll see what I can do. I had a really cool looking one set up with a big cave in the bottom, but I was a little too worried about it being a "deadspot" for flow.

Ok, I've been playing with it for a while. What do you think about this?

I also picked up everything I need (except water) so that when my powerheads show up next week I can start my cycle :)

Edit: that angle in the last one is pretty bad. Adding a better picture:

So my tank is filled, and running. Only about a week into my cycle.

I got a cup full of sand from my LFS from an established tank they had (been running for a couple years. A "not for sale tank"). They also decided to throw in a nice piece of live rock from the tank COVERED in coralline (to which I happily agreed!)

I didnt realize (idk if they did either) that as part of this rock and sand they included a couple red legged hermit crabs. What are the chances of them making it through the cycle?

Also, they threw in some nite-out and special blend that they swear by. Only gave me a couple doses to try. Figured it was worth adding as part of the cycle.

    Thanks :)
