Is there a big difference between Stereonephthya.. Carnations
And ... Dendronephthya Carnation .. Both of the Leather family..??
I have read where the Dendronephthya Carnation, is very, very hard to keep.. And can't find much on the Stereonephthya Carnation Leather.

I have a Red/orange and a bright pink Stereonephthya spp.
    That will be here monday..

    And info..??

    Thanks. Larry

I have only heard of a couple of people being able to keep any carnation corals for any extended period of time, all had tanks that were made just for these corals. I think for the time being these should be left in the wild.

I know the Dendronephthya Carnation is very hard to keep..

But have never heard of a Stereonephthya..

AND I would never buy any coral, that I didn't know I could keep..
I " thought " all Leathers were safe to keep..

This time I may have messed up..
I did find out they are in the same family....

Chironephthya, Dendronephthya, Scleronephthya, Siphonogorgia and Stereonephthya, gorgonians such as Acabaria, Acalcygorgia, Melithaea and Subergorgia.......

Well they got here today.. And they are beautiful..... And Big .....
I'm home 24/7 so maybe with ALOT of luck...???

My camera doesn't work good, maybe pictures later..

    Thanks, Larry

They may both be kept in a *very well fed aquarium* This item should only be purchased by the advanced aquariast. As shipbear stated he is alway's home which would greatly increase the Coral's chance of survival.
