starfish in 29 gallon?

    ah i see, thats good news because i wanted both of them. Its okay to have open top though right? they wont go out? I currently do have a hood on my cube, but this saturday im upgrading to MH lighting, so I wont have a hood

    Open top is fine, it may wander to the water line but not out, so no worries.

    Congrats on the lighting upgrade, you will love it. What type of fixture and bulb are you getting?

    i found a used sunpod 150 watt MH lighting that was used for 6 months, and comes with pheonix 14k bulb, for 100 bucks, gotta drive an hour though, picking it up this saturday. :)

    Well worth it for that price. I really like the Phoenix bulbs.

    I have a sandsifting starfish in my 36 gallon and he is great! Not sure about a 29 gallon for one of those guys. What about a sea urching instead??

    i hear sea urchins knock stuff down, and none of my rocks or corals are glued, so id love to but id have to be prepared for it

    Oh yeah you do not want that then..... good choice... you could possibly try a sand sifter in your tank... they are really good at cleaning all of the sh$$ in your tank...... but not sure about it... 29 might just not cut it..
