star polyps

hey guys and girls,
my star pollyps have closed up. put its only one type that closed (my green stars) my yellow stars are open. i dont know why. all my other coral is fine. i did a 30% water change after i noticed that they stopped opening. if any1 could help me id really like that...

 

My green stars close when a hermit or snail walks over them or gets too close. They also close for no apparent reason and are open again half an hour later....they are spreading like crazy so I don't suppose anything is wrong. ;D

 

how long have u had them and how long have they been closed?

 

i have had the green stars for like about a month and a half. the yellow stars for like about 2 weeks... the water change i did did nothing
again everything else is fine even my trumpit coral and anemone (which i thought to be the things that would show trouble first)

How long have they been closed? I find my green stars to be somewhat temperamental... : Are they completely closed and not coming out at all?

 

ya lately but i noticed that there is some brown algea looking stuff on them. i turnd off the lighting for today and the algea looks as if its going away... they have been closed now 4 like 5 days.

 

UPDATE!!! they are getting better! they opened for the first time in like a week. theres still patches that arnt opening but its getting there thanks everyone that posted here!
