star polyps or anthelia?

    not sure what it is. grows in a mat, its not purple. polyps are more or less the same diss from the base when opened. center and i guess u would say "stalk" of the polyps are a very bright green under the antinics. here is a pic.

    I have the exact same stuff you have. It came on one of my rocks. I found a store selling them for like $30-$40, but I forgot the name.

    are you sure it is star polyps...I am thinking it is anthelia..seems to long to be star polyps. Are the polyps able to retract in...if they do then they are stars if not then anthelia

    I have a ton of anthelia in my tank and it looks like that..not all anthelia grows on thick stalks

    there are no stalks, it grows in a mat. the polyps retract at night and when stuff ie cleaner shrimp crawl over them...so star polyps right?

    yep...if they retract then star polyps. My anthelia do not retract. You probably ought to be happy it is not anthelia...mine grows like weeds! I only wish my star polyps grew half as fast
