Sorry I shoulda mentioned that or linked it. I'm thinking about going barebottom in my new tank but I have a goby and a pistol shrimp that I wouldn't know what to do with...

It's OK, I found it and we should have money this weekend. If so, I just got myself a Vortech pump...

thatpetplace has 10% off this month. If you got the two wireless mp10s they would work in concert and cost like 470 after shipping and the discount.

If you get two pumps you have to get the wireless one, or else the master can't "talk" to the slave pump. If having them work in sync/anti sync/or in ES mode, then just get two non wireless. I can say that having multiple wireless ES pumps is the best way. The wireless versions truly shine when in ES mode. I use the Nutrient export mode and you get everything from slow lagoon current, to high chaotic reef crest, to a standing wave. It's a nice feature.

For now I would like to get the used 2nd generation MP40 from Guitarman89. I'm not sure if it is wireless or not, but it is only $200. I will probably just run them in anti-sync if I ever decide to get a second one.

if you never had ES, then that is more than fine. I had them for two years before I ES came out, and was very happy with them. 200 is a great deal for a 2nd gen, shoot, if you dont buy it, I would, because it's a great price.,,,lol

ES stands for EcoSmart(the drives), correct? Those are actually the 3rd generation? I know the one I want to get is a 2g.
