HL14, elementary my dear Watson! Take your water volume, mine is about 80 gallons net in my display and regugium. 1,600 gallons is 20 times. Just keep buying pumps, filters, skimmers, or powerheads until you get to that numbr.

300 gallon return, 500 gallon HOB filter 2 skimmers with about 100 gallons of wwater flow and 2 powerheads at about 800 gallons - a total of 1,700 GPH or there abouts.

I'm about tp add an 1850GPH turbelle stream to my 75 when it comes in tomorrow. Coupled with my 1200GPH return gives me 3050GPH. Plus I'll be putting my two MJ's behind the rock to keep detritus stirred up.

i have with my tank: my refuge i have 250 gal. return from canister filter, 250 return from fuge, 150 gph from skimmer, and a 270 gph from powerhead=920 gph total which equals 16x turnover.

I'm a Little confused. This thread started out as a Lighting/SPS question and has evolved into a tank turn over Thread. Is there some way we can try and create new threads for different topics? The reason I would like this is there is a ton of great info that maybe over looked because the thread title doesn't represent the contents.

    Thanks
    Jason
