I wanted to see what salt mixes those with predominantly SPS tanks running Ecobak use. I was reading on other forums that those running a ULNS should try to keep their alkalinity close to NSW and I read ALK levels of 8-10. A good number of reef salt mixes are advertised to have high CA, ALK, and Mg. A couple of months after Hurricane Sandy wiped out my 300 FOWLR I started up a 55 reef tank with Red Sea Coral Pro Salt and my ALK is 12, CA 450, Mg 1350. I do weekly water changes of 10 gallons. That is just out of habit when the 300 was originally a SPS tank. I did start Ecobak from the get go and my NO3 is 0 and PO4 is 0.07.
