I have a custom made one behind my rockwork and so far so good. It's done a great job so far keeping detritus off my rock and sand. :)

The only way I can see the spray bar or pump getting clogged up is if it's left turned off for a long while. The pump on my spray bar has a strainer on it that prevents anything from getting into it so that doesn't concern me either. If you place the spray bar in an area that's easy to reach, you shouldn't have any problem getting to it if need be. I only have to remove/move 3 pieces of rock in order to get to mine.
