Spiralina?

    i just got some spiralina chunks and i am thawing it in some tank water. \
    What type of tank fish is this for?
    Should i just turn the pumps down and throw it in???:confused:

    I am not sure. I have never heard of spiralina. Do you mean Spirulina? Why would you by something for your tank if you didn't know what it was or what it is for?
    If it is a frozen food you need to drain the water used for defrosting out first before adding it to your tank?

    easy killer. sorry i didnt make it so far in the middle school spelling bee. Yeah i ment spirulina. I actually was given this stuff along with mini mysis and rods food when i got my pair of black clowns. Just wanting to see if its beneficial to my reef?

    Spirulina is good for tangs and other fish that love macro algaes and vegetable based foods. Most all fish will eat it though. I have both the frozen cubes and Aquatrol Spirulina flakes and my fish prefer the flakes.
    I thaw the cubes in a bit of RO water then drain the water and smash the cube up before feeding.

    Baby brine eat it. Beyond that I don't know.
