I've had this thing in my tank for months now, I can't seem to get rid of it and no one seems to know what it is. When I scrape it off the glass or one of my corals, it's mucous-like. I own a 150 gallon saltwater tank and it's trying to grow onto my polyps and my corals and it's killing them.

The photos I have of the mass is difficult to get to as it's in the back of the tank against the wall so forgive the quality.

Yeah, I know, I just don't know what kind or how to get rid of it. It's growing like wildfire.

Do you have an extra air stone you could use? If you do, place it under the sponge for about 10 minuets. (With it on of course)

I actually don't have an air stone at all - will that kill that sponge?

Do you have any airline tubing lying around (the kind you drip acclimate with) just put one end under the sponge, then blow. If you don’t have any, you can get 8ft. of it a wall-mart for $2-$3.
