The eagle has landed! The movers came earlier today. It took five guys about an hour to move the tank and the stand. They did an awesome job! The first pic is the tank being lowered down the staircase to the basement. The second is the final placement of the tank in the home theater room.

Yes it is. I am a coral lover. FOWlR is the only direction I have never gone with a tank. I am looking forward to the challenge of making itequally as beautiful as a reef tank. I am also excited to keep some non-reef-safe fish such as butterflies and certain wrasses.

what a beautiful tank! I love the stain on the stand - with the darker color, it will really make your actual tank pop! Can't wait to see this up and running! I love FO tanks!

Thanks, OFK! Although the stand had been sitting in my garage for nearly two months, my first time really getting to see it was Friday since it had been wrapped in plastic. The stand was made by Coastal Aquariums- they did a great job. It looks like a piece of high-end furniture!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Seriously impressive tank. If there a planned fish theme to be found within this thread?

Congrats on getting in place, that is a major feat.

With help from my brother-in-law, I started getting everything in place inside the stand today. I will start filling this from my RODI filter tomorrow. It should take about 2.5 days to fill. After mixing salt and obtaining stable temp. and salinity I'll add water, rock and fish from my 76 gal.
This is what the tank looked like this afternoon. It's a work in progress!

Thanks for the complement. Getting the tank in the basement was a bigger deal than I had expected. I'm glad that part is done with! Here is my fish list (with a few minor edits). I want this to be a community fish tank that highlights butterflyfish and wrasses along with a few of my favorite species. Any feedback is appreciated!

1 Chalk Bass (moving from old tank)
1 Bangai Cardinalfish (moving from old tank)
1 Melanarus Wrasse (moving from old tank)
1 Starry Blenny (moving from old tank)
    3 Heniochus Buterflyfish
    1 Racoon or Latticed Butterflyfish
    1 Auriga Butterflyfish
    1 Longnose Butterflyfish
    1 Harlequin Tusk
    1 Green Bird Wrasse
    1 Flame Angelfish
    1 Yellow-eyed Kole Tang
    1 Yellow Tang
