Hi Sheila -- got your PM. The picture doesn't really show the features we need to see but I think it's a baby sea cucumber which means it's harmless.

 

yea i second the cuke, nudis aren't so turd looking like. but don't be fooled cucumbers can nuke ur system if they die. looks like a cool one though almost like a tiger tail but black and yellow.

 

ok well i have it in my fuge in a container floating but doesn't seem to be doing very well as it looks to be wasting away. To me it looked dark green or almost black with orange/yellow spikes on its back. The side attached to the rock had no spikes and looked smooth. either way i'm pretty sure its a gonner whatever it was....

 

well if its a cucumber don't let it die in your tank they release toxins that will wipe out ur tank. if it looks like it is taking a big poo get rid of it fast they will expunge all of their internal organs when they die(releasing that toxin)

 

It would make sense if it were a cuke that it's already nearly dead in that little container. I don't think a nudi is that sensitive.

For future reference, keep in mind that not all cucumbers are toxic and only a few of them expel internal organs. I don't think that the one Sheila had was harmful in either way.
