I agree, cut away the affected area and perform a Lugol's dip of the coral.

took me a minute, forgot where you are from Jason, LOL.... either way IMHO posts like that have no place on Three Reef, right... You want to be that way head on over to Reef Central, where you will fit right in.

    What are your tank parameters?

The only times I see Sarco's doing that is when they are dieing, not being eaten.

I went ahead and tested my parameters last night, and when I came back online to report the levels, 3reef was down!:-/

All parameters where in acceptable range, Nitrates was high, 10-20 ppm, Ca 490, phosphates 0.4 dKh was also in a good range, but I don't remember the exact number. pH was right at 8.0.

Several people suggested cutting out the damaged section, and one post mentioned there might be getting eaten from the inside.

I didn't want to cut it, but I decided that if I was going to cut a section out of it, I was going to frag it entirely. This way I would also see if there were worms/ what-have-you munching it from within.

I added extra carbon to the sump, and did some major fragging.
    Now comes the waiting...
    Thanks everyone for the help,
    Mke
