Thought I would share some pics of some of the different macros I have.... I'm caving in to the "Pics or it didn't happen" challenge.

I started using macros heavily in seahorse tanks over 10 years ago. I really like the look of it and it really helps with water quality. My fish are a dirty bunch and I could use all the help I can get having as many tanks as I do.

One of my favourites is the Galaxy (galuxauro rugosa). From Reefcleaners.org

I haven't been able to successfully share this with anyone. I move it to any of my other tanks, and it dies. People takes pieces of it... and it dies. Now I don't even touch it. When I move soon, I may try some more frags.

Fire Moss (Laurencia poitei) From ReefCleaners.org

    Red Grape (Botryocladia) From Reefcleaners.org.

    Caterpillar Macro (Neomeris annularia)

I like this stuff.... and so does my turbo snails.

    Feather Caulerpa (Caulerpa taxifolia)

This stuff in invasive and illegal in some areas. It's illegal to ship it across state lines anywhere. So this stuff I never share and freeze for 24 hours before disposing of it.

Lettuce macro (Ulva) Not a great macro pic, but I think he's so cute in this. I don't think I took any pics of just the Ulva.

Codium... again... not a good algae pic. But there it is.

    Grape Caulerpa (Caulerpa racemosa)

Another invasive and illegal caulerpa in some states.

Gotta go find some more pics of the rest to put on photobucket.

I'm just gonna keep editing my first post and put new pics in there, if that's okay. How long do I have to edit? :)

    Thanks!

I'm not sure... those were probably taken with a Canon 20 or 40D. I don't think any where taken with my new camera.

Botryocladia is beautiful. All the other pics I've seen make it look terrible but man I would kill to have my tank look as beautiful as yours. John at ReefCleaners has some great stuff and I've been ordering a lot as of late haha.

Heh, that means I have a dirty tank and probably need a water change :)

This stuff grows best in my little JBJ nanocubes.

.... and in the absence of snails. This is definitely a snail favourite.

Hehe god, I have a ton of snails would they just destroy all of it or do they take their time enough that it will grow despite their munching?
