some kind of cichlid??

    So not to sure what theese are. I was in a real rush returning somthing at the fish store tring to make it to work on time and the guy said he could only give me credit. so i was like crap give me those guys... probaly pritty stupid to do but he seemed to think the would do ok in my talk since if discused it with him befor. but i toaly frogot what they are called and wantid to do some research on them. anyways thanks for the help- im new here...

    If i rem. correctly the first is the male 2nd is female...

    Definitely not cichlids. Those are mollies. Tell us about the tank setup they went into.

    Its 20-25gal tank with a Large Placo, Large Clown Loach, One of them chines alge eater catfish guys prittle large for his type i belive. 4 Neons, like 5 guppies and 3 of these tetra guys i forget what they are called they have a black and yellow stripe on there fin.

    Sorry I am new to all of this- I accidentally double posted my thread any way to remove the Second one?

    They look like molliess to me.

    edit: They might be platties - one looks like a high-fin platty.

    You know what there is no way that tank is 25gal.. got to be like a 15?

    What are the measurements of the tank?

    BTW, nice little community tank. Are you adding conditioning salt? The mollies are live bearers. With any luck you'll have babies in a little bit.

    I have Salt but i don't really know how much i should be using how to test for proper levels.
    Ive bee working lately on doing water changes because i think my Nitrate was to high causing low PH levels
