Snail? or Clam?

    Got another one for you guys.

    I found this little guy in my sand bed.

    I'm assuming the green part is the top, because that part is rounded. The brown part with the swirls is completely flat. I haven't seen it open, or move around for that matter.

    I've tried checking guides and browsing the forums, but I haven't been able to find anything like it. He's about 3/4 inch long.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    That is the operculum of a snail.

    Yup, the operculum or "trap door" of a Turbo snail, to be more exact.
