Good luck on the testing. It seems that you are on the right track. You have a lot of good information there that many people rarely discuss when talking about lighting. I do have some questions though.

What type of results are you looking for out of these tests?
    Are you evaluating growth? A
    Are you evaluating coloration?
Are you just looking to prove that SPS can be maintained under LED?
Usually in an experiment, you have a control group for comparison, are you setting one up for this tests? If so what is lighting the control group?

    1. I would like to evaluate growth, comparing it to growth of SPS under a 2X 150w metal halide. For my experiment a 75g tank with 3x 24w will be used. While it will not be exactly the same, I will base my experiment off of someone eles's average growth rate(I forget which 3reefer it was) of about 1 mm per week. I believe they had 2X 175w metal halide fixtures over a 120g?(I need to find that tank thread again...)

    2. I need to do some more research on this, but I would like to evaluate coloration of corals compared to those gained from a 14,000K - 20,000K MH bulb.

    3. This experiment will be tested solely on SPS corals. My 75g tank will be an SPS dominant reef with high flow and (hopefully)high PUR.

    Thanks!

I am not sure what to get for lighting right now. I can't afford to buy 4 of the PR25 bulbs.
