nice looking tank to bad i get sick when i look into a bowfront.
Yup it is to bad I like the panoramic view feel you get from one.
1st coat of interior paint.
This is amazing Skyfire! I don't know how I missed it before. Incredible work on the canopy! You all have me considering doing the same for mine. Can't wait to see it on the tank.
It's up on the tank now but may need to take it off again. I'll get pics when I get home.
I had decided not to do a second coat inside but found that I may have to as some parts didn't quite get covered and some spots are rather thin (I painted in the dark, well nearly had a light on the back porch but it isn't that bright so...) Also will need to touch up some of the exterior paint since the painters tape failed in some areas grrrrrrr
Complete & On the Tank
Well it's finished...sort of.
The paint ran under the painters tape so I'll have to touch up the exterior stain but here it is anyway.
Next project is a stand with room for the fuge and stained to match. ;D
I've got the same color stain on my stand...red mahogany?
Yup...you got it.
Here's a Pic with the canopy open.
My tank will be 6 months old next month Yay!
Much has happened since the last update. Had just bought a new O. Clown then the power went out for four days.
All the fish in this tank made it through but not all the corals.
The clown,Marlin, is eating from my fingers just like Spot, my green spotted puffer. Have a major cyano outbreak partly due to the no power thing and partly due to my Koralia Evo reversing flow, have a replacement bushing on the way compliments of Hydor.
Added a bit of sand and will add more next month. Pics when I get home.
Got the Koralia Evo working correctly now and then decided to fight the cyano outbreak with Chemiclean and just 4 days later my tank is clean and is once again a thing of beauty.
I have only the plumbing parts to get in order to connect the fuge up which is upgraded to a 20T from a 10g tank.
I did have a nem die in the fuge when the power was out (i put it in there in case it did die), it wiped out the pods but I found that my nassarius snail made it through so I should be fine hooking it up to the DT....so can't wait for that.
Will definitely post pics when I get home since it's all purty now.
