Show me your fiji purples

To play devil's advocate here, you are right in that Tracy can do whatever she wants, it's her tank. However, Tracy, you do seem to be constantly changing things around either by adding new fish, aquascaping or changing equipment. I think that post was worded poorly as I read it and it seemed aggressive and condescending, but I don't think the poster had any malicious intent. We all have various experience with reef tanks and IME, sometimes it's better to just enjoy the tank.

I also agree that if you didn't like the white/pink look of you tank, you probably won't like the fiji purple bulb. Usually, people balance it out with a lot of white or blue bulbs. This is particularly difficult to do in a 4 bulb fixture. It also acts like a daylight bulb, so perhaps replace one of your daylights with it instead of the actinic bulb.

maybe 3 ati blue plus with 1 aquablue might be better.. puffy. I get pinkish color from my uvl 14k and uvl 12k actinic white. but after adding my uvl 454 it got rid of my pinkish tone. uvl 454 is close to a ati blue plus in appearance.
