    I use a lowes 5 gallon bucket, with a lid and a hole cut in top, about 4 months, no issues.

    Lasts about 5 to 6 days, before I refill, I use a long oil change funnel to pour water into the hole.





    Got to to Min. 1:05 to see it use.

    I use a 23 gallon Rubbermaid recycling can as pictured here:

    The float switches are set 12" apart which makes the system use 13 gallons of water before the RO/DI kicks on again and reduces the effects of TDS creep. The only drawback with the rectangular can is it bows out after its about 2/3 full so I made a collar out of 3/4" square tubuing that slips under the top rim so it holds its shape even when full.

    The cans can be found at Lowes and HD and they have lids for them too.

    Hmmm,might do this..I was thinking of using an old 10 gal aquarium that I had laying around..but still unsure..

    WOW where was this before I had the secondary stand made..LOL..good thing my father inlaw made the stand so I don't owe him much..lol..

    I like this and I was thinking of doing this in the future but due to the room available I can can only fit one tub...

    very cool thanks..ya think this could be implemented with a shallower tub?.
    so you have your ATO filling right into your tub?..I wanted to do some thing like this but was scared the float will stick and things will go bad from there...
